The Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Sudan held a ceremony on the occasion of the country's National Day of Qatar, on December 14 at its residence in Khartoum.
The ceremony was attended by HE representative of the Sudanese government and Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, with the participation of prominent official and political figures, heads and members of diplomatic missions, dignitaries of the society and fields of culture and media as well as Islamic and Christian clergies.
In a speech at the ceremony, the government representative congratulated the state of Qatar on the National Day, which coincides this year with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, hailing the distinguished organization of the State of Qatar for this major global sporting event.
The renaissance and progress achieved in the State of Qatar in various fields were thanks to the wise and rational leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, which gave the State of Qatar its high regional and international positions, His Excellency said, hailing the bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing his country's appreciation for Qatar's support for Sudan.
For his part, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Sudan Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sada highlighted, in a speech at the ceremony, the great achievements made in the State of Qatar in the political, economic, sports, health, educational and other fields within the framework of the modernization system led by the wise leadership.
Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 demonstrated its civilized identity and capabilities in all fields, His Excellency said, hailing the Qatari-Sudanese relations as solid and historic.
HE the ambassador highlighted Qatar's firm position in support of the unity, sovereignty and stability of Sudan and its keenness to support bilateral relations between the two countries.
