HE/Abdulrahman bin Ali al-Kubeisi , ambassador of Qatar state to Sudan, launched at the embassy building , the convoy of Qatari red crescent to relieve the flood affected people in Gezira state , in presence of HE/Ahmed Adam Bakhit , the Sudanese minister of social welfare , head of higher technical committee for humanitarian emergency in Sudan.

    The ambassador stated that launching of convoy comes as continuation of Qatar role and its initiative to stand with the Sudanese people in the flood catastrophe , adding that Qatar initiated from the first days of the catastrophe to convey planes shipped with food  sheltering assistances to support the affected people and confirming the standing of Qatari prince , government and people with Sudan to face the disaster . This by financing from Qatari fund for development and participation of Qatari organizations such as Qatari charitable organization and Qatari red crescent which oversaw  distribution of the assistances  through its technical teams in the states of Kassala , Gezira and River Nile.  

   From his part the Sudanese minister of social welfare appreciated Qatari support to Sudan and its initiative by sending assistanceS to support the flood affected people in various states in Sudan , stated that , this is Qatar used to , by standing of Qatari prince and people with Sudan in the shadow of strong relations between the two countries.
