On Wednesday 15th of December 2021, the embassy of Qatar state in Khartoum celebrated the occasion of the national day of Qatar in presence of HE / Mohammed Bashir Abu Nammo, Sudanese minister of mining and honor guest, along wide participation of officials, politicians, economists, beside foreign ambassadors and heads of the diplomatic missions to Sudan and symbols of the intellectual and cultural societies in Sudan.
The honor guest Abu Nammo spoke on behalf of the Sudanese government, he introduced the warmest compliments to Qatar state and people and its prince HH Sheikh /Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on the occasion of the national day.
He added Sudan enjoys good relations with Qatar based on mutual respect, pointing out the role of Qatar in setting resolutions to most issues and differences, and its role in peace in Darfur region, adding that Doha still provides a lot for free to Sudan in general and Darfur specifically, confirming the trust of people and government of Sudan on Qatar under wise leadership of the prince to play more role for regional and international stability.
At last of his speech he introduced congratulations to Qatar on hosting FIFA world cup 2022 and big achievements in building modern stadiums and facilities in preparation for this occasion which took place for the first time in Arab world.
In his speech HE / Abdulrahman bin Ali Al-Kubeisi , ambassador of Qatar to Sudan said: On this occasion we introduce warmest blessings and compliments to HH Sheikh / Tamim bin Hamad, prince of Qatar (May Allah protect him) and people and government of Qatar . Adding, we are so proud of this priceless occasion of foundation of Qatar state, which comes as Qatari people express their feelings of love and pride for Qatar state and its founding father, and furthering loyalty, unity, solidarity and pride of the national identity.
The ambassador added that the bilateral relations between Qatar and Sudan have been and still strong in all scopes, the thing is that sets for more progress and prosperity, stressing the complete support of Qatar to Sudan in this historical period and steady stance of Qatar to stability and unity of Sudan and its keenness for strengthening the bilateral relations for the sake of the interests of the peoples of the two brotherly countries.
Furthermore, the institutions of Qatar in Sudan participated on the side line of the occasion by organizing exhibition about its various projects and activities in Sudan.
